SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (May 22, 2018) – Juniors Bob Hamel (Southwick, Mass.), Alex Loparco (Riverside, Conn.) and Joe Cassella (Wallingford, Conn.) of the Western New England University baseball team have earned All-Region honors from both D3baseball.com and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), the organizations announced this week.

BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. (May 19, 2018) – The Western New England University baseball team had its run at the NCAA Tournament New England Regional ended with a 6-4 loss to Keystone (Pa.) College on Saturday afternoon at Hendy Field on the campus of Mass Maritime Academy.

HARWICH, Mass. (May 18, 2018) – The Western New England University baseball team kept it is run at the NCAA Tournament New England Regional going with a 4-1 victory over Penn State Berks in an elimination contest on Friday morning at Whitehouse Field.

(May 14, 2018) –  Junior outfielder Joe Cassella (Wallingford, Conn.) and junior left-handed pitcher Bob Hamel (Southwick, Mass.) of the Western New England University baseball team were both recognized with awards from the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) for their performances during the CCC Tournament over the last two weekends, the league office announced on Monday.

NEWPORT, R.I. (May 13, 2018) – After the second game of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Baseball Tournament best-of-3 championship series was suspended due to darkness with the score tied 6-6 through 11 innings on Friday night, it took just 19 minutes for Western New England University to walk off with a 7-6 victory over Salve Regina University on Sunday afternoon at Reynolds Field.

(May 5, 2018) – The third-seeded Western New England University baseball team broke out offensively as the Golden Bears rolled to wins over sixth-seeded Gordon College and second-seeded Roger Williams University on the first day of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament at Paolino Field on Saturday. Western New England defeated the Fighting Scots 10-2 in the opener, before running away with an 18-8 triumph over the Hawks.
