Hampshire Honor Society Release

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 5, 2017) – Seniors Mohamed Camara (New York, N.Y.), Terrence N'Dabian (Stratford, Conn.) and Robert Sihlanick (Rockaway, N.J.) of the Western New England University football team have been named to the 2017 National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, it was announced on Wednesday.

Camara, N'Dabian and Sihlanick are among 1,089 players from 297 schools at the NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA levels to be recognized for maintaining at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average throughout their collegiate careers. Additionally, to qualify for the Hampshire Honor Society, players must be a starter or significant contributor in their last year of football eligibility.

Camara, a pharmaceutical business major with a 3.38 GPA, earned All-New England Football Conference (NEFC) second team honors this past season after catching 27 passes for 467 yards and five touchdowns, including a 73-yard score in Western New England's 59-28 homecoming weekend victory over Curry College on September 24.

N'Dabian, a marketing-communication/advertising major with a 3.30 GPA, compiled 313 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns from the wing position. The Stratford, Conn. native found the end zone in wins over Nichols (October 1) and Coast Guard (November 12).

Sihlanick, a biology major with a 3.49 GPA, totaled 36 tackles and four sacks during his senior campaign. The defensive lineman's strip sack, fumble recovery and touchdown return in the fourth quarter of Western New England's NCAA Tournament first round victory over Husson University on November 19 gave the Golden Bears a ten-point lead in their eventual 44-27 triumph.
