Bruehwiler, Hathaway Named to United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (December 2, 2021) – The Western New England women's soccer team saw two of their own be named to the United Soccer Coaches all-region team, it was announced today. Senior Allison Bruehwiler (Old Saybrook, Conn.) and senior Autumn Hathaway (Colchester, Vt.) received first and second team honors, respectively. 

Bruehwiler tallied a team high eight goals on the season to go along with a team best eight assists for the Golden Bears, tallying 24 points on the season. Bruehwiler made appearances in all 18 games on the season for Western New England, making 17 starts. Over her four-year career, Bruehwiler has scored 19 goals and added 17 assists, good for 55 career points which ranks in the top 20 all time in Western New England's women's soccer history. Bruehwiler has been named to the 2021 NCAA Division III Women's Region II first team.

Hathaway made starts and played in all 18 games on the year for the Golden Bears, tallying three goals and picking up four assists. Hathaway scored the game winning goal on October 13 against Gordon College in a 3-2 win for the Golden Bears. Over her career with Western New England, Hathaway has netted six goals while picking up six assists, good for 18 points. She has taken 86 shots (46 SOG) through her two seasons as a Golden Bear. Hathaway has been named to the 2021 NCAA Division II Women's Region second team.
