St. Louis, Mo. native averaged  3.42 kills and 5.25 digs per set in a 3-0 week for the Golden Bears

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 31, 2016) – Junior outside hitter Emmaline Chiodini (St. Louis, Mo.) of the Western New England University volleyball team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week, the league office announced this afternoon.

Chiodini averaged 3.42 kills and 5.25 digs per in a 3-0 week for Western New England. She recorded double-doubles in all three matches, beginning with a 10-kill, 10-dig performance against Wentworth on Tuesday as the Golden Bears snapped the Leopards' nine-match winning streak. Chiodini followed that up with 14 kills and a season-high 31 digs in a 3-1 win at Keene State on Thursday, before totaling 17 kills and 22 digs in a five-set win over Gordon on Saturday.

Western New England (19-9, 7-2 CCC) opens the CCC Tournament at home tomorrow night with a quarterfinal matchup against Gordon.
