SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 31, 2016) – Three members of the Western New England University volleyball team were recognized when the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced its All-CCC selections this afternoon.

Junior outside hitter Carly Skibinski (Milford, N.J.) was named to the All-CCC first team, while senior setter Jenna Leuck (Dumont, N.J.) and junior outside hitter Emmaline Chiodini (St. Louis, Mo.) earned spots on the All-CCC third team.

Skibinski was again one of the top players in the conference this fall, hitting .303 (4th in CCC) with 2.80 kills (9th) and 0.62 blocks per set (9th). She recorded 10+ kills in 16 of Western New England's 28 matches, including a career-high of 19 on two occasions. Skibinski also posted multiple blocks in 19 matches, with her career-high of seven coming in the Golden Bears' 3-1 win at the University of New England on October 22.

The Milford, N.J. native earns All-CCC first team honors for the first time in her career after earning second team honors last fall and honorable mention status as a freshman in 2014. In 81 career matches, Skibinski has totaled 720 kills (2.38/set), 169 blocks (0.56/set), 102 digs (0.34/set) and 44 aces (0.15/set).

Leuck was selected to the All-CCC third team after ranking second in the conference with 8.90 assists per set this season. She also averaged 3.19 digs and 0.82 kills per set while hitting .229. Leuck registered 15 double-doubles (10+ assists, 10+ digs), reaching the 40-assist mark five times with her career-high of 47 coming in Western New England's 3-2 loss to Endicott on October 19.

The Dumont, N.J. native has appeared in 117 matches and 395 sets over the course of her career, racking up 1944 assists (4.92/set), 912 digs (2.31/set), 160 kills (0.41/set) and 128 aces (0.32/set). She was named the CCC Player of the Week for the first time in her career on October 17.

Rounding out Western New England's three All-CCC performers is Chiodini, who earns conference recognition following her first season with the Golden Bear volleyball program. The St. Louis, Mo. native ranked second on the team in both kills (2.38) and digs (3.45) per set during the regular season while posting seven double-doubles. Chiodini closed out the regular season with seven consecutive double-digit dig efforts, totaling 10+ kills six times during the same stretch. She was named CCC Player of the Week earlier today after leading the Golden Bears to three wins during the final week of the regular season.

Western New England (19-9, 7-2 CCC) opens the CCC Tournament at home tomorrow night with a quarterfinal matchup against Gordon.
