SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (March 8, 2023) – Western New England men’s ice hockey goaltender Colten Lancaster has landed on the All-CCC Third Team, as announced by the conference office today. The senior grabbed six wins for Western New England this season while making a career best 780 saves. Western New England men’s ice hockey was also awarded with the Sportsmanship Award, which will be WNE’s fifth time receiving the award in the six years it has been given out by the conference office.

(February 22, 2023) – The Western New England men’s ice hockey team fell on the road on Wednesday night, to the fourth seeded Salve Regina University Seahawks by a final score of 5-2. WNE, the fifth seed, grabbed two goals after Salve took a quick 2-0 lead, though the third period would belong to the hosts, scoring three goals to advance to the CCC Semifinal round.

BIDDEFORD, Maine (February 18, 2023) – The Western New England men’s ice hockey team fell on the road to No. 9 University of New England on Saturday night, being defeated 5-3. Despite the loss, WNE clinched a playoff berth and locked into the #5 seed in the upcoming CCC playoffs.

The Golden Bears would battle, though would drop a 4-2 contest to sixth ranked Curry College.

This is the second time the Golden Bears have met the Rams this season. The first matchup was a tie that went to a shootout and saw Suffolk come away with the win. Unfortunately, the Rams would again get the best of the Golden Bears.

Middletown, R.I. (January 14, 2023) - The Golden Bears took to the road on Saturday for the away part of the home-and-home weekend series with Salve Regina. After a tough loss on Friday, the Golden Bears looked to bounce back with a big win. However, Salve Regina had only lost once at home in regular time going into this one. Seth Benson's overtime goal would help keep that record alive.

After scoring the first goal of the game, Western New England would see Salve Regina record two late third period goals in one minute and eleven seconds to turn the fate, sending the Seahawks to a 2-1 win over the Golden Bears on Friday night from the Olympia Ice Center.

(January 7, 2023) – The Western New England men’s ice hockey team saw two goals from Kyle Knight in their return to the ice for the 2023 portion of their schedule, though fell short in overtime to the hosting AMCATs of Anna Maria College as AMC would get a goal just 35 seconds into the overtime frame to take the win from WNE.
