Senior Heidi Grieger (Hyde Park, N.Y.) of the Western New England University softball team has been recognized as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Pitcher the of the Week, the league office announced this afternoon.

Grieger was dominant in her four appearances and three starts in the circle last week, as she went 3-0 with a pair of complete game victories without surrendering a single earned run in 18.0 innings of work. The senior captain struck out eight batters and walked two while scattering ten hits.

Grieger opened her week with seven shutout innings in a 2-0 victory at Wesleyan on Tuesday, before tossing four scoreless frames in Saturday's 8-3 win over Wentworth.

The Hyde Park, N.Y. native took a no-hitter into the bottom of the sixth inning and fanned four batters in the contest.
