SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (March 30, 2023) – Reigning CCC Goaltender of the Year Rieley Jessie-Gerelli and reigning CCC Rookie of the Year Maddie Pope have been named to the New England Hockey Writers Association’s 2022-2023 Division III Women’s All-Star Team.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (March 7, 2023) – The Western New England women’s ice hockey team saw two of their own earn major accolades from the Commonwealth Coast Conference in the end of season awards, as announced by the conference office this afternoon. Junior Rieley Jessie-Gerelli was tabbed CCC Goaltender of the Year while Maddie Pope was named CCC Rookie of the Year. WNE women’s ice hockey earn their first ever end of season conference awards in program history.

The Golden Bears drove to Beverly, Massachusetts, for a CCC semifinal matchup with the Endicott Gulls. After a scoreless first period, Endicott would notch a goal in each of the last two periods to take down the Golden Bears 2-0 and move on to the CCC final.

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (February 18, 2023) – The Western New England women’s ice hockey team needed overtime on Saturday night at the Olympia Ice Center to take down the visiting Nor’easters from the University of New England, though Kelly Yorkey’s game winning goal would secure the three seed in the CCC Tournament for the Golden Bears.

Canton, Mass. (February 11, 2023) - The Golden Bears picked up and skated to Canton, Massachusetts, for a Saturday afternoon matchup with the Curry Colonels. The Golden Bears were coming off a big win at home against Nichols and looked to get the win streak to three games. Allison Walker and Maddie Pope kept that idea in mind and helped the Golden Bears reach it, with both players notching a goal.

West Springfield, Mass. (February 10, 2023) - The Golden Bears played host to the Nichols College Bison in a late-season CCC matchup. After taking the previous two matchups against the Bison, Coach Katie Zimmerman and the Golden Bears looked to grab their second regular season sweep of the year. Murphy's three points would be enough to help the Golden Bears skate clear of the Bison.

West Springfield, Mass. (February 4, 2023) - The Golden Bears drove back to West Springfield for a Saturday night matchup with conference foes Salve Regina. After sweeping them in their home-and-home series in mid-January, WNE was hoping to make it three for three on the season. Julia Roman's second-period wrap-around goal was enough to help the Golden Bears do just that and get the season sweep of Salve Regina.

Beverly, Mass. (February 3, 2023) - The Golden Bears headed out to Beverly, Massachusetts, for a meeting with the Gulls of Endicott College. The Golden Bears were trying to avoid a three-game skid, but Endicott was going for three wins in a row, and with Emmerson Hayes and Nicole Connor picking up three points each, they beat the Golden Bears.

WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (January 21, 2023) – The Western New England women’s ice hockey team would score the first goal of the game before giving up a late goal to the visiting Lancers of Worcester State University from the Olympia Ice Center on Saturday night, sending the game to a draw, 1-1.

Worcester, Mass. (January 20, 2023) - The Women’s Ice Hockey team traveled to Worcester on a damp Friday night for a non-conference matchup with the Lancers of Worcester State University. The Golden Bears were on a hot streak heading into the matchup, with the Lancers having won seven out of their last eight games. However, Kylian Kelly and the Lancers had other plans as they were able to take down the surging Golden Bears.
