Western New England comes up just short in a 3-2 loss against Eastern Connecticut State

SPRINGFIELD, MA - In a marathon match that lasted over two hours, Eastern Connecticut posted a 3-2 victory over Western New England Tuesday evening (Sept. 29) in a non-league match at the Alumni Healthful Living Center.

The game scores were 25-18, 18-25, 25-14, 28-30, and 15-12.

Kay Mullen and Ashley Adams led the Warriors with 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Allie Luppi contributed 34 digs while Fabiana Della-Monica had 23 assists.

Western New England had three players in double figures with kills, Olivia Lathrop (19), Kelsey Armstrong (10), and Carly Skibinski (10). Jessica Sincero added 21 assists while Jenna Leuck had 17. Emily Woodford (16) and Jenna Ferguson (14) combined for 30 digs.

Eastern Connecticut evens its record at 7-7 while Western New England is now 7-5.
