Western New England drops 3-0 decision at Gordon in Commonwealth Coast Conference play

WENHAM, MA - The Western New England women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at Gordon Wednesday evening (Oct. 7) in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) match.

WNE played a close first set coming up just short at 25-23. The Fighting Scots took the next two games by the scores of 25-18 and 25-13.

Caryl Skibinski had nine kills while Olivia Lathrop contributed seven kills and four blocks for the Golden Bears who are now 8-6 overall and 2-1 in the conference.

Western New England also received 11 assists and seven digs from Jessica Sincero and eight assists and eight digs from Jenna Leuck.

Carleigh Petersen led Gordon with 14 kills while Renee Cooprider had 32 assists and Maggie Risma 14 digs.

The Fighting Scots are now 10-8 and 3-2 in the CCC.
