Sarah Coogan joins Western New England University Athletics as an Athletic Trainer in 2022-23.

Coogan comes to Western New England after graduating from Shenandoah University in 2014 with her Master's of Science degree in Athletic Training. Following graduation, Coogan worked primarily in the high school setting in Northern Virginia and has experience working with Division I and Division III College Athletics, specifically with men''s lacrosse and women's soccer. Coogan also taught several clinical courses at George Mason University including First Aid / Emergency Care and Functional Anatomy. Prior to arriving at Western New England, Coogan served as an outreach Athletic Trainer for the University of Virginia HEalth System in Prince William County. 

“We are excited to have Sarah join the Athletic Training staff here at WNE. I look forward to Sarah bringing her experience, knowledge, and passion to her work with the WNE student-athletes. She will be a valuable addition to the WNE community.” said Head Athletic Trainer Mike Vallee.

Coogan's appointment is effective immediately.
