Alex Loparco joins the Western New England baseball team as a graduate assistant for his first season in 2023. 

A native of Riverside, Connecticut, Loparco enjoyed a four year career for Western New England University under current WNE Head Coach Dan Gomez from 2016-2019. Loparco hit .335 in 164 games played for the Golden Bears, collecting 618 at-bats, 144 runs, 207 hits, 40 doubles, four triples, six home runs and 111 RBIs. 

Loparco is listed seven times in the Western New England career batting record books, cracking the top ten in hits, runs scored, doubles, stolen bases, stolen base percentage, games played, and at-bats.
