Bio

Brian Mazella joins the Western New England baseball team as a Pitching Coach for the 2023 season. Mazella is a 2015 graduate of Western New England University with a degree in Sport Management and minor in athletic coaching.

Prior to joining WNE, Mazella made stops as an assistant coach at both Nichols College and Westfield State University. 

Mazella started his coaching career as an intern with the University of Hartford baseball program in 2014, spent time with the Dream Bat Bombers (2014-17) and currently is owner/ general manager of the SNE Wave.

A native of Windsor, Connecticut, Mazella was a four-year member of the Western New England baseball program. He appeared in 20 games as a relief pitcher and was a member of two NCAA regional tournament teams. In 2012 the team posted 38 wins and advanced to the New England regional championship game.
