Bio

Jamie Mainez is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Western New England University softball program in 2019. 

Mainez's coaching responsibilities with the Golden Bears includes the offense and outfielders. 

She comes to Western New England after graduating from American International College last May with a bachelor's degree in health sciences. 

Mainez was a four-year starter at catcher for the Yellow Jackets softball program, earning All-NE10 Conference third team honors in 2015, 2017 & 2018. She finished her career with a .304 batting average.

Mainez was a finalist for the NE10 Woman of the Year award as a senior, when she also served as President of AIC's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and received the Robert Burke Athletics Director Award. 

A native of Redlands, California, Mainez is currently pursuing her graduate degree in exercise science with a concentration in strength and conditioning at AIC.
