Jennifer Kolins completed her 20th season as the head coach of the women's tennis team at Western New England University in 2019-20.

She ranks among the top coaches in the region with an impressive 171-110 career record for a .609 winning percentage. Kolins also serves as the Western New England men's tennis coach.

She also serves as Co-Chair of the Western New England Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) SAAC advisor and CCC Men’s Tennis Chair. Additionally, she is the co-advisor of the Civility Leadership Team, which is a group of concerned citizens from across campus that have come together to spread the message of civility, respect and sportsmanship on the WNE campus and in athletics.

Western New England had a 5-5 record (3-4 CCC) in 2019-20 on their way to a fourth straight appearance in the CCC Tournament. Two Golden Bears collected All-CCC honors, including Morgan Schrader, who earned first team honors and was named the CCC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The team was unable to compete in the spring semester portion of their schedule due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Western New England turned in an 8-6 record (4-4 CCC) in 2016-17 en route to the program's third straight appearance in the CCC Tournament. Three Golden Bears earned All-CCC recognition, including Joeanna Glantz, who was named the CCC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Kolins led the Golden Bears to an 8-6 record in 2015-16 for the program's second consecutive winning season. Junior Joeanna Glantz and sophomore Lauren Sell both garnered All-CCC accolades at second team doubles, while Sell was also a second team singles selection. 

Western New England compiled a 13-5 ledger for the program's 12th consecutive winning season in 2009-10 and tied for fourth in CCC play with an 8-3 mark.

WNE had a productive 2008-09 season, finishing with a 12-7 record that included a 6-4 mark to tie for fourth in the conference. The Golden Bears, who were the sixth seed in the conference tournament, had a thrilling 5-4 win over third-seeded Salve Regina in the quarterfinals before bowing out to top-seed Endicott.

In 2007, Kolins' squad posted a 10-5 record, which featured a 7-3 mark for fourth place in its inaugural season in CCC.

Kolins led Western New England to a 10-3 record in 2006 along with a 7-1 mark for second place in its final season in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC).

The Golden Bears captured 46 of their 55 GNAC starts for an 83.6 winning clip during their tenure in the conference from 2000-06.

In 2005, WNE posted a 12-2 record that was the program's second-highest win total ever. The Golden Bears finished second in the league during the regular season at 7-1 and took second place in the conference tournament for the second straight season.

Kolins' team posted a 10-2 mark in 2004 and was second in the conference with a 7-1 ledger.

The 2003 season will always be remembered as one of the best in school history. Kolins directed her squad to a perfect 16-0 record, which was the first unbeaten season by any sports team in Golden Bears' history. Western New England won its first GNAC tournament title and Kolins received her third consecutive GNAC Coach of the Year Award.

The Philadelphia, Pa., native led the Golden Bears to a 9-2 record in 2002, which included a 7-1 mark for second place in the GNAC. In 2001, WNE compiled a 10-3 record and placed third in the conference with a 6-2 mark. The University also qualified for its second straight conference tournament.

In her first season as a college coach, Kolins directed her squad to a 9-4 record in 2000, which included a perfect 7-0 mark at home. The Golden Bears finished third in the GNAC (4-3) and fourth in the conference tournament.

Kolins graduated from the University of Hartford in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication. She was a four-year member of the Hawks women's tennis team and three-time team captain.

Kolins also was the recipient of the most valuable teammate, the Collegiate Athletic Essence of Passion, and the J.C. Penny Athletic Achievement awards at Hartford.
 
Previously, Kolins served as the tennis director and head teaching professional for 10 years at Crestview Country Club in the Springfield suburb of Agawam.
