Volleyball Concludes Regular Season with 3-0 Loss to Endicott

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Western New England University volleyball team was swept 3-0 (25-21, 25-9, 25-16) by Endicott College on Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at MacDonald Gymnasium.

Top Performers
Western New England senior setter Caitlyn Sibiskie (Rockfall, Conn.) produced a double-double with 20 assists and ten digs, while junior outside hitter Hailey McDonnell (Methuen, Mass.) and senior middle blocker Kierah Parker (Middletown, Conn.) recorded six kills each.

For the Gulls, senior right side hitter Remi Quesnelle (Sunderland, Mass.) hit .286 with a match-high seven kills.

Game Review
Western New England, which trailed 9-3 early in the first set, eventually battled back to take a 16-15 lead following a Quesnelle attack error. The Golden Bears held their final lead of the frame at 20-19 before the Gulls won five straight points en route to a 25-21 triumph.

Endicott's momentum carried into the second set, as the home team opened the frame with a 6-0 run and never looked back. The Gulls' cushion grew to 12 (15-3) and they continued to pull away late, securing a 25-19 result.

In the third and final set, Western New England stayed within striking distance early, as the Golden Bears trailed 12-9 following an Endicott attack error. The Gulls took control from there, however, using a 7-1 run to extend the lead to nine. The Golden Bears were unable to recover as Endicott completed the 3-0 sweep.

• Western New England hit a match-best .233 in the opening set, but the Golden Bears hit just .032 overall.
• Parker has recorded six kills in each of Western New England's last two matches since returning from an 18-game absence due to injury.
