Garofalo Picks Up CCC Rookie of the Week
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (September 26, 2022) – The Western New England women's cross-country team picked up a first place finish on Saturday afternoon at the Elms College Blazers Cross Country Classic, while first year Nina Garofalo picked up a 3rd place finish in the event of 38 runners.
Garofalo finishes the Elms College Blazers Classic in 27:06, averaging a 7:16 pace per mile. Her third-place finish ranked second on Western New England's team, and her top finish of the season thus far. The Golden Bears are in action next at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass. at the James Earley Invitational, hosted by Westfield State University on Saturday, October 8 beginning at 11:30 AM.
