RJ Malson joined the Western New England University football coaching staff in July 2017 as an assistant coach. Malson serves as a defensive line coach and special teams coordinator with the Golden Bears. 

Malson, a 2015 graduate of Thiel College in Greenville, Pa. earned his bachelor’s degree in history and was a member of the Tomcats’ football team after transferring from the University of Mount Union. Malson served as an assistant coach working with the defensive linemen at Thiel during the 2015 season before gaining further experience in a similar role at Milliken University in 2016.
