Eight from WNE Swimming Named to 2023 Little East Conference Academic Honor Roll

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (June 23, 2023) – The Western New England women’s swimming team saw eight of their own named to the Little East Conference Academic Honor Roll Team, as announced by the conference office this morning.
Six Golden Bears Named to LEC All-Academic Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I (March 20, 2023) – The Little East Conference (LEC) announced a total of 299 student-athletes competing in the LEC's six winter championship sports – men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track & field, men’s and women's swimming & diving - have been named to the 2022-23 LEC Winter All-Academic Team.
WNE Swimming’s Robinson Named Little East Conference Rookie of the Year

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (February 20, 2023) – The Western New England women’s swimming team wrapped up the Little East Conference Championships on Sunday night, finishing in sixth place in the ten-team event. The Golden Bears saw hardwood return to Springfield as WNE First Year Amanda Robinson took home Little East Conference Rookie of the Year honors.

Lyons Swim Past Golden Bears, 146-84

Springfield, Mass. (January 27, 2023) – The Golden Bears welcomed the Lyons of Mount Holyoke College to campus for a dual meet today. The Golden Bears looked to grab a big win for the seniors on senior night. However, the Lyons had other plans as they took down the Golden Bears by a score of 146 to 84.
Golden Bears Take Down Blazers, Fall to Regis in Double Dual Meet Action

Weston, Mass. (January 21, 2023) – The Golden Bears headed to Weston, Massachusetts, for a double dual meet. The team took on Regis College and Elms College. The team was looking to build momentum off the past weeks and come home to Springfield with two wins. However, Regis, on their senior day, had other plans.

South Hadley, Mass. (January 14 and 15, 2023) – The Golden Bears headed to South Hadley this weekend for the Sisters Invitational at Mount Holyoke College. The women’s swim team has had a great season so far and looked to keep the good times rolling in the Sisters Invitational.

(January 9, 2023) – The Western New England women’s swimming team garnered two weekly awards this week as announced by the Little East Conference commissioner’s office, seeing sophomore Caitlin Hall and first year Amanda Robinson earn accolades for their performances in a 116-73 win over Rhode Island College.

Women's Swimming Caps First Half of Season at Bridgewater Invitational

Bridgewater, Mass. (December 3, 2022) – After the Thanksgiving break, the women’s swim team was back in action on Saturday afternoon. The team headed east for the Bridgewater State University Invitational. After a long afternoon of swimming, the team finished fourth out of eight teams.

Willimantic, Conn. (November 19, 2022) – After three big wins last week, the Golden Bears headed to Willimantic for a double-dual meet with Eastern Connecticut State and Plymouth State. The Golden Bears have had a great start to the season so far and were hoping for some big swims to be able to come out with two wins.

Dartmouth, Mass. (November 5, 2022) – After their first dual-meet win of the season last meet, the Golden Bears traveled out to Dartmouth for the Louis Goodrum Invitational. The invitational was an unscored meet in place to help swimmers improve on times.
