Six Golden Bears Named to LEC All-Academic Team

PROVIDENCE, R.I (March 20, 2023) – The Little East Conference (LEC) announced a total of 299 student-athletes competing in the LEC's six winter championship sports – men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track & field, men's and women's swimming & diving - have been named to the 2022-23 LEC Winter All-Academic Team. 

To be named the LEC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be at least in sophomore standing in the classroom, have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher through the previous semester, and have been at their current institution for at least one full academic year.

Of those 299 student-athletes, six Western New England women's swimming student-athletes were named to the list including Alexa Adams, Katarina DaSilva, Caitlin Hall, Reneé Lussier, Megan Morrissey, and Amanda Pillard

The LEC's announces its All-Academic Teams following the conclusion of their respective championship seasons.

20 student-athletes maintain a 4.00 cumulative GPA
56 student-athletes have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.90
117 student-athletes have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75
223 student-athletes have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50
