Kyle Carducci Selected as CCC Goaltender of the Week

Rocky Hill, Conn. native made 52 saves in Western New England's 4-3 win over Endicott on Saturday

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (February 19, 2019) – Junior goaltender Kyle Carducci (Rocky Hill, Conn.) of the Western New England University ice hockey team has been selected as the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Goaltender of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Carducci made a season-high 52 saves on Saturday night in Western New England's regular season finale as the Golden Bears edged Endicott College, 4-3, at the Olympia Ice Center.

Carducci stopped 18 shots in the first period and 20 in the second before shutting down Endicott with 14 saves in the third to seal the win, which marked Western New England's first ever victory over the Gulls in ten meetings.

Carducci finished the 2018-19 campaign with a 7-6 record in 14 games played (12 starts), a 3.47 goals against average and a .905 save percentage.

In 26 career appearances (19 starts), Carducci is 9-11 with a 3.72 goals against average and a .901 save percentage. He recorded a career-high 57 saves in Western New England's 6-5 loss to the University of New England on December 8, 2017 in Biddeford, Maine.
