Men’s Soccer Gears Up for 2023 Season, Releases 17 Game Schedule

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (July 21, 2023) – The Western New England men's soccer team has released their 2023 schedule, dropping a 17-game sleight with seven games coming from Suprenant Field.

With a hefty road schedule in 2023, WNE will begin the season with three of their first four games on the road, opening the 2023 schedule at Brandeis University on Friday, September 1 at 4:00 PM. WNE opens their home schedule just two days later when Clark University visits Springfield on Sunday, September 3 at 2:00 PM. The Golden Bears will then venture out for a mini two-game road trip, making stops to Union College (N.Y.) on Wednesday, September 6 at 6:00 PM and to Williams College on Saturday, September 9 at 11:30 AM. The blue and gold will return home for two games, hosting Babson College on Wednesday, September 13 at 4:00 PM while also hosting their conference opener on Saturday, September 16 at 2:30 PM when Curry College travels to Suprenant Field. 

WNE will then be back on the road for three straight, featuring games against Western Connecticut State University (September 19, 6:00 PM), Wentworth Institute of Technology (September 23, 12:00 PM) and Connecticut College (September 26, 4:00 PM). The Golden Bears will see the month of September end with a home CCC game against the University of New England on Saturday, September 30 at 2:30 PM.

As expected, the month of October opens on the road for Western New England as WNE travels to Hartford, Connecticut to meet Trinity College on Wednesday, October 4 at 7:00 PM. The Golden Bears will take on Roger Williams University in a rematch of last year's CCC Semifinal game on Saturday, October 7 at 12:00 PM.

Western New England closes the 2023 season with three of their final five games on home grass.  Suffolk University visits Springfield on Tuesday, October 10 for a 4:00 PM kickoff while Gordon College makes the trip to Springfield on Saturday, October 14 for a 2:30 start time. WNE will travel to Nichols College on Wednesday, October 18 at 3:00 PM before hosting Endicott College on Saturday, October 21 for homecoming weekend at 2:30 PM. The season will conclude in West Hartford, Connecticut when the newest member of the CCC University of Hartford hosts Western New England on Tuesday, October 24 at 7:00 PM. 

The CCC playoffs are set to begin with the opening round on Thursday, October 26 with quarterfinal, semifinal, and championship games to follow.
