Mask Policy Revised at Western New England University
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (September 14, 2021) – Western New England University will be adhering to the city of Springfield's mask mandate that took effect Monday, September 13th, 2021.
The citywide mask mandate requires masks "for all public places including municipal buildings, private businesses, and public gatherings and events to help mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus," according to the Citywide Mask Mandate Policy released by the city on September 9th, 2021.

Masks will be required at all sporting events, regardless of vaccination status, whether indoors or outdoors moving forward. The Golden Bears look forward to seeing your continuous support at our events and hope to keep everyone safe during these times.
At this time, student-athletes competing in outdoor competitions are not required to wear masks during competition.
