Collin Quinn Named Sports Information Director at Western New England University

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 28, 2022) - The Western New England University Athletics Department is excited to announce the addition of Collin Quinn as the Sports Information Director. Quinn had previously served as the Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant over his first five months at Western New England.

"We are very happy to welcome Collin as a fulltime staff member at Western New England" said Lori Mayhew-Wood the Associate Athletic Director. "Collin has made a seamless transition from our graduate assistant to our full-time sports information director. He brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and enthusiasm to the position. Collin is the right person to enhance all areas of our athletic communications department."

Before his time at Western New England, Quinn recieved his bachelor's degree from Worcester State University where he studied mass communications with a concentration in broadcast media and minor in writing.  Quinn spent the last two years as a sports information assistant at Keene State College. While in Keene, Quinn helped create and produce all video content for the athletic department while also providing statistical support and writing post-game recaps.

During his undergraduate years at Worcester State, Quinn took roles as a media intern for the Valley Blue Sox (2018) as well as interning for Worcester State in their sports information department. Quinn was also a color commenator for the Pittsfield Suns for the last two seasons, while also running their social media pages and writing post game recaps.

In the Sports Information Director position, Quinn will take over all aspects of communication for Western New England's 21 varsity sports.
