88 Golden Bears Placed on CCC Fall Academic All-Conference Team

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (January 20, 2022) – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced their list of Fall Academic All-Conference honorees this afternoon, with 88 Golden Bears receiving honors. 

To be recognized by the CCC on the Academic All-Conference team, the student athlete must have attained at least a sophomore academic status at the time of completion and must have attained an overall GPA of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale. 

The CCC fall sports list includes any student athlete who participated in men's or women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's or women's soccer, women's tennis, and women's volleyball. 

Western New England's 88 members of the Academic All-Conference team were among the 740 overall in the conference. The Golden Bears took third in the conference, as they did in the 2021 spring season. Endicott's 113 student athletes rank second in the conference, while Salve Regina topped the Gulls, finishing with 115 student athletes as members of the All-Conference Team. 

The Western New England football team led the way with 36 Academic All-Conference honorees, while both men's and women's soccer finished with 13 candidates each, followed by women's tennis (8), field hockey (7), men's cross country (6), women's volleyball (3), and women's cross country (2).
