SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 11, 2017) – Seven members of the 2017 Western New England University softball team have earned All-America Scholar-Athlete honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), the organization announced on Tuesday.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (May 16, 2017) – Senior shortstop Gabby Lavinio (Dalton, Mass.) and freshman utility player Aimee Kistner (Taunton, Mass.) of the Western New England University softball team have both been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-New England third team, the organization announced on Monday night.

NEWPORT, R.I. (May 4, 2017) – In a matchup featuring the top two seeds in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament, the second-seeded Western New England University softball team was held to two hits in a 3-1 loss to top-seeded Salve Regina University on Thursday evening at Toppa Field.

(April 29, 2017) – The second-seeded Western New England University softball team opened the double elimination round of the 2017 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament with a 9-3 victory over No. 3 seed Roger Williams University on Saturday afternoon at Golden Bear Park.

BOSTON, Mass. (April 23, 2017) – The Western New England University softball team recorded 27 hits and scored 21 runs in a doubleheader sweep of the Wentworth Institute of Technology on Sunday afternoon at Carr Diamond. The Golden Bears posted a 12-2, six-inning victory in the opener, before shutting out the Leopards 9-0 in five innings in game two.

(April 22, 2017) – The Western New England University softball team earned a key doubleheader split against Roger Williams University on Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at Golden Bear Park. After being shut out 4-0 in the opener, Western New England bounced back with a 2-1 win in game two.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 20, 2017) – The Western New England University softball team broke out offensively in game two of a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) doubleheader against Nichols College to salvage a split with the Bison on Thursday afternoon at Golden Bear Park. Western New England was limited to three hits in a 5-2, game one loss, before rolling to a 10-0, five-inning triumph in game two.

(April 18, 2017) – The Western New England University softball team split a pair of Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) contests with Salve Regina University on Tuesday afternoon at Golden Bear Park. The Seahawks posted a 6-2 win in the opener, before Western New England bounced back with a 2-1 victory in game two.

(April 17, 2017) – The Western New England University softball team used a pair of strong offensive performances to earn a doubleheader sweep of Gordon College in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action on Monday. The Golden Bears hit two home runs en route to an 8-2 win over the Fighting Scots in the opener, before recording 13 hits in a 9-4 game two victory.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 14, 2017) – Freshmen pitchers Aimee Kistner (Taunton, Mass.) and Paige Uliase (Meriden, Conn.) both turned in complete game efforts as the Western New England University softball team swept a non-conference doubleheader against Eastern Connecticut State University on Friday afternoon at Golden Bear Park. Western New England registered a 6-3 win in the opener, before rolling to an 11-3, six-inning triumph in game two.

(April 11, 2017) – The Western New England University softball team dropped both ends of a non-conference doubleheader to No. 20 nationally ranked Springfield College on Tuesday afternoon at Potter Field. The Pride prevailed 6-5 in a back-and-forth opener, before posting a 12-4 win in game two.
