How it Happened:
Needing a win to stay in position to pick up a home game in the upcoming CCC tournament, Western New England picked up a key home run to start the game as CJ Willis belted his 12th home run of the season, giving the Golden Bears a quick 1-0 lead. After Wentworth left two runners on base through two innings, Western New England picked up another home run, this time a grand slam, taking a 5-0 lead. Paul Villecco and Ryan Montini would both be walked before CJ Willis smoked a single to center field, leaving the bases loaded with no outs. With the opportunity, Cody Waterbury mashed his fourth home run of the season, picking up four RBIs on the play while also quickly giving the Golden Bears the big lead.

The blue and gold were not done there as the top of the fifth saw a two-RBI double from Kohtaro Shimada quickly gain WNE a 7-0 lead. Sean Jamieson and Aaron Cole would score on the play as Western New England would find their offensive game again. The Leopards would struggle on the afternoon to push runners across from scoring position, leaving an extra two runners on base in the bottom of the fifth after Jacob Hobart escaped a jam. WNE would reward Hobart by getting a three-run home run from CJ Willis, his second of the game and 50th total RBI on the season, giving the Golden Bears a double-digit lead.

Wentworth would come around to score their first two runs of the game in the bottom of the sixth inning after A.T. DePina went bridge for the second time on the season to left field, giving Wentworth two runs on the scoreboard. Wentworth would score a third run in the bottom of the seventh after a stolen base would plate a run, cutting Wentworth's deficit to 10-3.

The Golden Bears would be able to finish the game in the eighth inning after Sean Jamieson picked up an RBI, scoring CJ Willis before John Bova blasted a grand slam, the second grand slam of the game for the Golden Bears and fourth overall home run as Western New England would beat Wentworth on the unconventional "walk off" home run by Bova, beating the Leopards 15-3.
