Jessie-Gerelli Named CCC Goaltender of the Week for Fourth Time
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (January 24,2022) – The CCC announced their weekly slew of awards on Monday, with Rieley Jessie-Gerelli being named CCC Goaltender of the Week for a fourth time this season.
Western New England logged a 1-1 record this week, while Jessie-Gerelli allowed just two goals during those two games, picking up a 27 save shutout win for the Golden Bears against the Seahawks of Salve Regina University, followed by a 30 save performance on home ice against the same Seahawks team. The Golden Bears would pick up the 2-0 win on Friday night, before dropping a 2-1 decision on home ice on Saturday night.
In 11 games with the Golden Bears this season, Jessie-Gerelli has made 429 saves, which ranks 9th in the nation, as well as carrying a .947 save percentage, a number that ranks 10th in the nation.
The Golden Bears are back in action on Friday, January 28 at 4:40 pm when they head to Nichols College before returning home on Sunday, January 30 at 7:30 pm to take on the same Bison from the Olympia Ice Center.
