Richmond Shines at Roger Williams Golf Invitational

BRISTOL, R.I. (April 25, 2022) – The Western New England men's golf team made their final appearance of the season on the course, traveling to Green Valley Country Club for the Roger Williams University Invitational on Monday afternoon. First year Colin Richmond shined for WNE shooting a team low score of 82 in 18 holes. 

Of the ten teams competing, Western New England finished the day with a total score of 342, finishing in 6th place overall. Endicott College would take home first place in the invitational, finishing with a 310. 

Western New England was led by Colin Richmond, who shot an 82 over the 18 holes, a team low. Dylan Fortunado finished just two strokes behind Richmond, scoring an 84 on the afternoon for the Golden Bears. Ryne Salius was the only Golden Bear to produce a "2" on the afternoon, completing an eagle shot on hole eight. Salius finished the afternoon with a score of 87 overall. Ryan Schlehuber and Benjamin Eskin also competed for Western New England in the invitational, finishing with an 89 and 97, respectively. 

The Roger Williams Invitational wraps up the 2022 spring season for the Golden Bears, who competed in three matches during the spring season. WNE will turn the page and look forward to the 2022 fall season. WNE graduates just one from the 2022 season as Ryan Zogby's prolific career comes to a close.
