Alex Sikorski Earns First Career CCC Player of the Week Award

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Junior guard Alex Sikorski (Rocky Hill, Conn.) of the Western New England University men's basketball team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Week for the first time in his career, the league office announced on Tuesday.

During a 1-1 week for the Golden Bears, Sikorski averaged 26.5 points and seven rebounds. On Tuesday, Sikorski had 23 points and eight rebounds against Nichols. Sikorski followed that up by scoring 30 points, including the 1,000th point for his career, and grabbed six rebounds in a 98-88 win against U. of New England.

Western New England (15-9, 10-5 CCC) will close out the regular season on Wednesday night as the Golden Gears host Wentworth at 8:00 p.m.
