Cross Country Races at CCC Championships
BIDDEFORD, Maine (October 29, 2022) – The Western New England cross country teams placed in both the men's and women's CCC Cross Country event, held at the University of New England on Saturday afternoon.
Results:
- WNE Men's Cross Country: 8th/9
- WNE Women's Cross Country: 8th/8
Men's Cross Country Leaders:
Matt Provost led Western New England in the men's race, taking 20th place with a time of 27:54. Joshua Farrell finished 51st in the race of 114 with a time of 29:26. Nicholas Carlson finished 53rd at 29:29. Joshua Bellman completed the race in 29:41. Maximillan Fitch ended at 29:54. Also competing for WNE was Corey Pierce, John Bieszczad, John Falco, Lance Tomlinson, and Issac Pedro.
Women's Cross Country Leaders:
Emily Kowal led the Golden Bears on the afternoon, finishing in 26:29, good for 29th place of 87 runners. Nina Garofalo finished closely behind Kowal at 26:35. Keara Mooney finished the race at 27:39, good for 45th place while Victoria Burke ran in at 53rd place at 28:44. WNE also saw Davis Farrow, Katie Burnham, Marissa Crisafulli and Alyssa Clemence race on the afternoon.
