Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Wrap Up 2022 Schedule at NCAA Mideast Region Championships

CANTON, N.Y. (November 12, 2022) – The Western New England men's and women's cross-country teams raced in their final meet of the year on Saturday morning, with the men's team finishing in 20th place of 23 teams while the WNE women's side finished in the same 20th position of 21 teams competing. 

How it Happened:
The women's cross-country team were led by Keara Mooney who finished the race in 121st place, ending the race with a time of 27:32. Nina Garofalo put together a great effort for WNE in her first season as a Golden Bear, finishing the race in 28:08, good for 127th place. Victoria Burke, Davis Farrow, and Katie Burnham all finished within 20 seconds of one another, collecting 141st, 145th, and 150th places, respectively. Marissa Crisafulli and Alyssa Clemence would cap off the Golden Bears finishes, showing great effort all season long. 

As he has done all season, Matt Provost led Western New England, finishing in 81st place in the race at 28:33. Joshua Farrell also put together a great effort in his first year with the Western New England men's cross-country team, finishing the race in 128th place, finishing out at an even 31:00. John Bieszczad, Nicholas Carlson, and John Flaco also rapped up their 2022 seasons on the course this afternoon as the Golden Bears would sit in 20th place of 23 teams in the race.
