Game Review
Marian opened the scoring with three runs in the top of the second. The first two runs of the contest scored on a pair of Western New England errors, and Fox added a two-out RBI triple to make it 3-0.

The Golden Bear offense broke through with four runs in the bottom of the fourth to give Western New England its first lead. Kistner got it started with a one-out single, and Cookingham followed with another single before Buzzeo got the Golden Bears on the board with an RBI double. DiBlasio came up next and delivered a two-run double to tie the contest, before Decker put the Golden Bears in front with an RBI groundout later in the frame.

Western New England's lead didn't last long, however, as Marian used an RBI single from Lauscher in the top of the fifth to tie the score.

The Sabres then pulled ahead in the sixth inning on a two-out, two-run single by Strainis, which came one batter after Fox reached base on an error that would have ended the frame.

Marian tacked on two more runs in the seventh inning, and the Golden Bears went down in order in their final at-bat.
