Eight from WNE Swimming Named to 2023 Little East Conference Academic Honor Roll
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (June 23, 2023) – The Western New England women's swimming team saw eight of their own named to the Little East Conference Academic Honor Roll Team, as announced by the conference office this morning.
To be named the LEC Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a semester GPA of 3.00 or better and have been an active member of the team at the conclusion of the season.
The following Golden Bears have qualified for the Little East Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll:

Megan Morrissey | Middleboro, Mass. | Sophomore | Health Sciences
Amanda Pillard | Manchester, Conn. | Sophomore | Criminal Justice
Morgan Potler | Columbia, Md. | First Year | Criminal Justice
In total, 1,943 student-athletes competing in the conference's 21 championship sports were named to the LEC Academic Honor Roll in recognition of the academic performance in the Spring 2023 semester. Of those 1,943 student athletes, 109 were named for the LEC's women's swimming and diving championship sport.
Western New England women's swimming finished the season with a 6-3 record in dual meets, their most wins since the 2018-2019 season. WNE also took first in a tri-match and wrapped up the season finishing 6th in the Little East Conference Championships.
