Women’s Wrestling Wraps Up 2022-23 Season at NCWWC Region I Championships

ERIE, Pa. (February 18, 2023) – The Western New England women’s wrestling team finished their inaugural campaign on Saturday afternoon at the NCWWC Region I Championships, hosted by Gannon University. The Golden Bears placed 12th in the 12 team event and saw two of their own take 8th place in their respective weight classes.
Women’s Wrestling Battles Sacred Heart and Columbia University

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (February 8, 2023) – The Western New England women’s wrestling team traveled to Sacred Heart University on Wednesday evening for a tri match with the hosting Pioneers as well as the Columbia University Lions. WNE would drop both matches, falling to sixth ranked Sacred Heart 44-5 and Columbia University, 29-15.
Women’s Wrestling Falls Just Short at Elmira College

Orender Takes Third, Branchaud Second at Will Abele Open

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (January 15, 2023) – The Western New England women’s wrestling team picked up two place winners at the Will Abele Open on Sunday afternoon as Victoria Orender placed third in the 116 lb. weight class while Kendall Branchaud took second in the 136 lb. weight class. Overall, Western New England placed 5th of 17 teams in the event.
Women’s Wrestling Captures First Ever Dual Meet Victory over Delaware Valley University

(November 3, 2022) – The Western New England women’s wrestling team opened their 2022-2023 season on Thursday evening, welcoming the Warriors of East Stroudsburg University in what was the first ever match for Western New England. Kendall Branchaud won the first ever match in Golden Bears history, while the team fell 31-10 in the match.
