Junior Kevin Gollmer (Flourtown, Pa.) of the Western New England University ice hockey team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Goaltender of the Week for the second time in his career, the league office announced on Monday.

Gollmer helped the Golden Bears pick up a pair of key CCC victories over Johnson & Wales last week, posting a 1.50 goals against average and a .953 save percentage.

The Flourtown, Pa. native stopped 31 shots in Thursday's 4-3, comeback victory over the Wildcats in Pawtucket, R.I., before registering a 30-save shutout in Saturday's 2-0 triumph at the Olympia Ice Center.

In 16 games this season, Gollmer is 6-8-2 with a 3.23 goals against average and a .909 save percentage. He has registered 30+ saves in ten of those 16 games, with a season-high of 49 coming in back-to-back games against UMass Dartmouth and Endicott on November 26 and December 1, respectively.

In 48 career appearances for the Golden Bears (46 starts), Gollmer owns a 3.51 goals against average and a .911 save percentage with two shutouts.

He earned his first career CCC Goaltender of the Week award on November 28, 2016 after backstopping the Golden Bears to the Rutland Herald Invitational title and claiming Tournament MVP honors.

Western New England (8-9-2, 3-8-1 CCC), which is 4-0-1 over its last five games and now sits in eighth place in the CCC standings following its sweep of Johnson & Wales, returns to action on Thursday at Wentworth.
