Nick Beauchamp to Represent Golden Bears in USILA/Nike North-South Senior All-Star Game

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (May 23, 2018) –
Western New England University senior midfielder Nicholas Beauchamp (Wilbraham, Mass.) has been selected to represent the Golden Bears in the 77th Annual United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/Nike Division III North-South Senior All-Star Game, the organization announced on Tuesday night.   

The all-star games, which feature the top senior lacrosse players in the nation, will be held at Anderson Stadium on the campus of Providence College on Friday, May 25. The Division III contest is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., with the Division I/II game set to follow at 7:30 p.m.

A two-time All-Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) performer, Beauchamp capped his career with a first team selection this season. He led the Golden Bears with 57 points on 34 goals and 23 assists while also compiling 24 ground balls.

Beauchamp recorded at least one point in all 20 of Western New England's contests this spring, with 16 multi-point efforts. He tallied a season-high seven points (four goals, three assists) in a 19-10 loss to No. 11 Amherst College on March 6.

In 54 career games, Beauchamp totaled 115 points with 76 goals and 39 assists. The Minnechaug Regional High School product was named to the All-CCC second team as a junior in 2017.

The USILA North-South All-Star games are among the most storied traditions in college lacrosse in which the highest caliber seniors from the across the country are showcased on the same field. The North-South game kicks off a Memorial Day weekend filled with lacrosse in New England as the 2018 NCAA Men's Lacrosse semifinals and championships will be held 25 miles north of Providence at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.
