Kerr, Gamba & Djusberg Receive USILA All-America Honorable Mention Accolades

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (May 25, 2018) – Three members of the Western New England University men's lacrosse team were recognized when the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced its Division III All-America selections on Friday morning.

Senior goalie Steven Kerr (Hopkinton, Mass.), sophomore midfielder Nick Gamba (East Islip, N.Y.) and sophomore defenseman Oskar Djusberg (Abington, Mass.) earned Honorable Mention status, bringing Western New England's all-time total of USILA All-Americans to 23.

Kerr received his third straight All-Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) nod with his selection to the first team this spring. He posted career-bests with a 9.93 goals against average and a 55.6 save percentage, while racking up 10+ saves on 12 occasions.

Gamba was named the CCC Offensive Player of the Year following a breakout campaign in which he recorded 55 points with 33 goals and 22 assists. He was a consistent contributor with at least one point in all 20 contests, and he posted 16 multi-point efforts.

Djusberg collects All-America honors after being named to the All-CCC second team for the second straight season. The BC High product ranked second on the team in ground balls (65) and third in caused turnovers (21) while chipping in offensively with eight points (six goals, two assists).

Western New England has had at least one All-American in every season since 2011, with multiple selections in each of the past four years.
