Top Performers
Senior goalkeeper Alex Lemekha (Stamford, Conn.) made three saves en route to her fourth shutout of the season.

Wentworth junior goalkeeper Allison Haynes (Shelton, Conn.) turned aside 12 shots for the visitors.

Offensively, Western New England junior midfielder Lauren Leblanc (Belchertown, Mass.) accounted for a team-high three shots on goal, while Wentworth senior Jess Poratti (Essex Junction, Vt.) was responsible for all three of the Leopards' shots on target in the contest.

Game Review
Western New England outshot Wentworth 13-3 over the opening 45 minutes of play, but the Golden Bears were unable to find the back of the net as the score was tied 0-0 at the break.

With 17 minutes remaining in regulation, Leblanc put a shot on net from well outside the box that Haynes stopped to keep the game knotted at 0-0. Leblanc had another opportunity to put the Golden Bears in front with two minutes on the clock, but Haynes again came through for Wentworth.

Poratti forced Lemekha to make a clutch save in the final minute, resulting in a corner kick for Wentworth with 28 seconds to play. The Leopards were unable to break the scoreless deadlock, however, sending the contest to overtime.

Neither team had a shot on goal in the first overtime period, but Haynes stopped the only attempt that came her way in the second extra session. The Golden Bears failed to capitalize on a corner kick opportunity with two minutes to play, and senior Mariana Goncalves (Ludlow, Mass.) put a shot wide of the goal 24 seconds later, as the game ended in a scoreless draw.

Notes
• Western New England outshot Wentworth 27-10 and held an 11-6 advantage in corner kicks.
• Lemekha's shutout marks the 14th clean sheet of her career.
