Western New England Places 32nd at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (September 15, 2018) — In their second meet of the season, the Western New England University women's cross country team finished 32nd at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday afternoon at the Robert Dowd Course.

On the day, Western New England tallied 801 team points to finish 32nd. Brandeis won with 56 total points while Trinity, Merrimack, WPI, and Wellesley rounded out the top five. For Brandeis, Emily Bryson was the top overall finisher with a time of 17:54.59.

Top Performers
The Golden Bears top runner was senior Meagan Dias (Ludlow, Mass.) who crossed the finish line at 20:39.28. Dias placed 122nd overall.

Junior Brooke Townsend (Portland, Conn.) finished at 21:01.63 and sophomore Sam Lewis (Goffstown, N.H.) finished just four seconds later at 21:05.96.
