Western New England Finishes Third at Elms Blazer Invitational
Kaczenski places sixth overall, Barber 13th
CHICOPEE, Mass. (September 23, 2017) – The Western New England University men's cross country team registered a third-place finish on Saturday at the Elms College Blazer Invitational at Chicopee Memorial State Park.
Western New England posted a team score of 79 on its way to third place. Salve Regina took the team title with a score of 26, while Johnson & Wales followed in second place (76).
Top Performers
• Senior Edwin Kaczenski (Northfield, Mass.) paced the Golden Bears, finishing sixth overall in the 61-runner field with a time of 30:56 on the eight-kilometer course.
• Senior Adrian Barber (Castleton, N.Y.) earned a time of 32:12, good for 13th overall.
• Freshman Jacob Eberli (Ludlow, Mass.) placed 20th and clocked in at 33:26.

Western New England will be off next weekend before returning to action on Saturday, October 7 at the James Early Invitational, hosted by Westfield State University at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass.
