Swim Drops Two in Double Dual Meet against Plymouth State and Eastern Connecticut State

PLYMOUTH, NH. (November 20, 2021) – Western New England Women's Swimming had a close battle with Plymouth State and had a tough loss against Eastern Connecticut to bring the Golden Bears record to 1-3 for the season.

Scores:

  • Plymouth State University: 106.50, Western New England: 101.50
  • Eastern Connecticut State 204.00, Western New England 58.00

How it Happened:

The Golden Bears only had a few swimmers finish in the top four of the 28-event double dual meet. First year, Andie Nadeu finished first in both the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 59.34, and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:49.38. She also finished second in the 200-yard freestyle, coming up huge for Western New England. Another first year, Caitlin Hall brought in a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard IM in 2:40.30. The Golden Bears also got a fourth-place tie in the 50-yard breaststroke, Haley Dion and Plymouth State's Hollinger coming in at 41.27. The Golden Bears were unable to garner enough top finishes to overcome both Plymouth State and Eastern Connecticut State.
