Golden Bears fall to Warriors in non-league

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. - The Eastern Connecticut State University women's volleyball team scored the first five points of the first game and went on to defeat Western New England College 3-0 in a non-conference match Tuesday night. The game scores were 30-16, 30-20, and 30-21.

Sophomore Ashley O'Keefe (South Dennis, MA) led the Golden Bears with nine kills and 11 digs while junior Jess Vogel (Tonawanda, NY) contributed 13 digs and sophomore Becky Cardin (Hudson, NH) 25 assists.

Western New England College (13-14) ends its regular season with a pair of Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matches against Albertus Magnus and Daniel Webster on Saturday in Nashua, New Hampshire.
