WNEgives Challenges

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - March 10-11, 2020 Western New England University will be hosting WNEgives, our annual community giving event.  With your help, we will raise $250,000 for Western New England University.

Every gift makes a difference, but your gift during WNEgives will go even further.  Many donors have challenged alumni and friends to give during this event.  Below is a list of those current challenges.  Should these benchmarks be met, the generous donors listed will give to the listed program.

Richard Cassata Golden Bear Athletics Challenge

If 600 donors give to any Golden Bear Athletics program, Trustee Richard Cassata '80 will donate $10,000.

Athletic Administrators Challenge
If 50 donors give to Women's Ice Hockey, the Athletics Administration team will donate $2,500.  

Laura Sturgis Boule Women's Lacrosse Challenge
If 100 donors give to Women's Lacrosse, Laura Sturgis Boule '01/G'02 will donate $1,500.

Coach Greg Heffernan Men's Ice Hockey Challenge
If 50 donors give to Men's Ice Hockey, Coach Greg Heffernan G'14 will donate $1,000.

Women's Soccer Alumni Challenge
If 70 donors give to Women's Soccer, a group of women's soccer alums will give $700.

Men's & Women's Tennis Challenge
If 50 donors give to Men's and/or Women's Tennis, an anonymous donor will give $500.

Marco Le Gette Men's Lacrosse Challenge
If 90 donors give to Men's Lacrosse, Marco Le Gette '04 will donate $1,000.

Sarah Moisao Softball Challenge
If 40 donors give to Softball, Sarah Moisao '05 will donate $500.

Matty O'Brien Football Alumni Challenge
If 75 donors give to Football, Matty O'Brien '11 will donate $1,000. 

Tom Nussbaum Baseball Challenge

If 50 donors give to baseball, Tom Nussbaum will donate $1,500.
