Western New England Places 71 Student-Athletes on CCC Spring Academic All-Conference Team

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (June 29, 2020) – Western New England University placed 71 student-athletes on the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Spring Academic All-Conference Team, which was released today by the league office.

In order to be recognized as a member of the Academic All-Conference Team, an athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale) and must have attained sophomore academic status.

The CCC's spring list includes student-athletes who participated in baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's golf, men's ice hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, softball, men's tennis, and women's track and field.

Western New England's 71 honorees were among 611 overall Academic All-Conference selections. The Golden Bears finished with third highest along with Nichols, behind only Salve Regina (83) and Endicott (90).

Western New England's men's ice hockey team led the way with 15 Academic All-Conference honorees, followed by men's lacrosse (13), women's lacrosse (9), softball (8), women's basketball (7), men's golf (7), baseball (5), men's basketball (4), and men's tennis (3).
