Updated University Academic Policy and Athletic Eligibility
Updated University Academic Policy and Athletic Eligibility
FAQs
How will athletics eligibility be determined at the conclusion of this semester?
- Eligibility standards will not change from previous semesters. Student-athletes must pass 24 credits over their most recent 2 Full-Time semesters and have a cumulative GPA greater than or equal to the department minimum listed in the table below.
How will CR/NC grades effect determining eligibility?
- If a student chooses to take a "CR" designation instead of a passing letter grade, the credits from that class will count towards the credits needed to pass 24.
- If a student chooses to take a "NC" designation instead of an "F", they will not get credit for the class but their cumulative GPA will not be effected as it would with an F.
- The total credits passed for the semester (A-D letter grades + CR designations) will be used for eligibility determination.
How will Cumulative GPA be determined?
- Cumulative GPA will be determined based off the total quality points and credits going into the Spring 2020 semester plus the quality points and credits earned in the classes that a student chooses to take a letter grade in.
- Any classes where a student chooses to take a CR/NC designation will not be used to calculate cumulative GPA.
