Clark Collects All-CCC Second Team Honors

CCC Release

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior forward Jacqueline Clark (Auburn, Mass.) of the Western New England University field hockey team has been named to the All-Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) second team, the league announced on Monday as part of its All-CCC selections and major award winners.

Clark powered the Western New England offense all season, as she led the Golden Bears and ranked fourth in the CCC with 39 points (16 goals, 7 assists).

The senior captain scored a goal in 11 of Western New England's 18 contests this season, including five multi-goal performances. She tallied five game-winners, with two of those goals coming in CCC matches. Clark also scored twice in the Golden Bears' 3-1 win over Springfield College on September 4.  Additionally, she factored into all four goals with two goals and two assists in Western New England's 4-0 triumph over Westfield State on September 16.

In 73 career games (55 starts), Clark has compiled 96 points with 40 goals and 16 assists. She is four points shy of becoming the fifth Golden Bear in program history to reach the 100-point mark.

Fifth-seeded Western New England (7-11, 3-9 CCC) travels to fourth-seeded Roger Williams on Tuesday night to face the Hawks in the quarterfinal round of the CCC Tournament.
