WNE Men’s & Women’s Soccer Teams Earn 2017-18 United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Awards

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 11, 2018) – The Western New England University men's and women's soccer programs have both received 2017-18 Team Academic Awards from United Soccer Coaches, the organization announced earlier this week.

In order to be eligible for this award, teams must post a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2017-18 academic year. The Western New England women finished with a 3.33 GPA, while the Golden Bear men recorded a 3.26 GPA.

A total of 782 soccer teams across all three NCAA Divisions, NAIA and NJCAA were recognized. Western New England is among 198 institutions to have both its men's and women's programs honored as Team Academic Award winners.
