The Fighting Scots took a commanding lead with wins in all three doubles flights. In the top spot, Western New England's duo of sophomore Maylene LaPress (Bedford, N.H.) and junior Morgan Schrader (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) fell to Justine Hanson and Gabrielle Brucker, 8-2.

At No. 2, senior Petra Martinelli (Vernon, Conn.) and sophomore Kyra Palumbo (Albany, N.Y.) came up short in an 8-4 loss to Anne Carsey and Kaelyn Hall, while junior Rachel Bauer (Palmer, Mass.) and sophomore Jessica Cote (Groton, Conn.) dropped an 8-0 decision to Caitlin Kwok and Emily Ontiveros at No. 3.
