Jules Gaudreau Honored at Western New England Golf Classic

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (September 29, 2016) – Jules Gaudreau, the President of The Gaudreau Group, Inc. and a longtime supporter of Western New England University athletics, was the Guest of Honor at the 18th Annual Golf Classic on Monday evening at Twin Hills Country Club in Longmeadow, Mass. Director of Athletics Dr. Mike Theulen presented Gaudreau with a plaque of appreciation for his support of the University.

The successful event featured a 140-player field and raised over $65,000 for the Western New England athletics program.

The Gaudreau Group is a multi-line Insurance and Financial Services Agency founded in 1921 and headquartered in Wilbraham, MA. The agency, which is the insurance and benefits advisor for Western New England, insures over 5,000 businesses and families in 12 states with annual sales of over $80 million.

Gaudreau has been a very strong supporter of the student-athlete experience at Western New England, as evidenced by his significant commitment to the construction of the Flynn Family Golden Bear Pavilion.

"Jules and The Gaudreau Group are very strong partners, advocates, and supporters of Western New England University,"  Theulen said. "His belief in us as an identifiable positive force in the Western Massachusetts region is both humbling and motivating. Our Athletic Family is deeply appreciative of his support of our mission and of his philanthropy towards us. His significant gift toward completion of the Flynn Family Golden Bear Pavilion helped to make this dream a reality."

Gaudreau has served as President of numerous community organizations, including the Wilbraham Nature and Cultural Center. He believes in the value of volunteering in the local community. Jules was awarded the Rotary Club's Paul Harris Award of Distinction and chaired the Annual Scholarship Campaign for the YMCA of Greater Springfield.

The father of three adult children, Jules lives in Wilbraham with his wife Maureen, who is a commercial insurance broker and NAIFA member.
